Mid century solid walnut extendable table, with drawer on the short side. This table was made with very simple and linear structure, featuring solid turned legs and equipped with a drawer and a huge practical inside compartment. The top is extendable into doubles in size to accommodate more guests at the table. This type of table in the 19th century was used in italian family kitchens and women would prepare the dough for the pasta on the open top and leave it in the inner compartment while it was rising. Presented some defects with scratches on wood surface, however, still in good original condition, consistent with age and use.
